Designer Uses Fungus To Make Furniture

LONDON (CBS) — A London furniture designer is growing his latest creations from fungus.

Ines Rau First Transgender Playboy Playmate Centerfold

Furniture maker Sebastian Cox mixes the mycelium from fungus and wood chips. The combination is placed in a mold to take shape.

Stools and lamp shades were his first creations. They took about 18 months to grow.

The items retail for about $400 a piece.
