Mayor Jim Kenney Speaks At Local NAACP Reception
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — The Philadelphia branch of the NAACP celebrated its annual awards gala Friday night and a key city figure was in attendance.
The event was held at the First District Plaza in University City and Mayor Jim Kenney spoke at the reception.
He discussed how the city is helping to support the civil rights organization's mission.
Several community leaders were honored during the annual fundraising event that helps support the NAACP's programs.
