SEPTA’s Wilmington/Newark Regional Rail Line Faces Delays After Person Hit By Train

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — SEPTA’s Wilmington/Newark Regional Rail Line is facing half-hour delays after a person was struck by a train.

The line was originally suspended due to the incident.

Amtrak says an Acela train traveling from Boston to Washington, D.C., hit a person that was on the tracks south of Philadelphia’s 30th Street Station.

The crew and passengers were not injured.

Amtrak says passengers traveling to and from Philadelphia will experience delays due to the incident.

Amtrak is cooperating with the investigation.
