Great Viewing Conditions For Perseids Meteor Shower 2017

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Great viewing conditions overnight for a peek at the Perseids!

Prime meteor observation is after midnight and away from city lights.

The Perseids radiate from the constellation Perseus, but can appear anywhere in the sky.

The waning gibbous moon may block out some of the fainter meteors this year, but the Perseids are typically so bright that it should still be a great show!
