PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — CBS3 Anchor Ukee Washington will continue CBS3’s SummerFest series this week going live from Ocean City, New Jersey, on Friday, July 21. Washington will anchor live from the Ocean City Boardwalk in the 5, 6 and 11 p.m. newscasts on CBS3 and the 10 p.m. on The CW Philly.
The Eyewitness News team will venture off the boardwalk to give viewers the full Ocean City experience. First up, reporter Tori Woodill kicks things off Thursday night July 20 in the 11 p.m. news with a first taste of Ocean City from the Chatterbox Restaurant. Then on Friday morning, reporter Pat Gallen previews the evening broadcasts with a surf lesson from the professionals at 7th Street Surf Shop. Washington will take a look at the fascinating history of the shore town, and meteorologist Lauren Casey and the station’s new Mobile Weather Watcher will be on hand live from the boardwalk to deliver the latest weather information.
From the shore to the Poconos, from Philly to the suburbs and northern Delaware, CBS3’s SummerFest is showcasing towns and events in our region through Labor Day as Eyewitness News anchors its evening newscasts live from a different summer destination each Friday night.
This week, sister station 98.1 WOGL will also join CBS3 on site Friday in Ocean City for the festivities. SummerFest is sponsored by Dietz and Watson.
CBS3 (KYW-TV) and The CW Philly 57 (WPSG-TV) are part of CBS Television Stations, a Division of CBS Corporation.
