Nuclear Power Plant To Test Sirens In South Jersey

PHILADELPHIA (CBS)-- The nuclear power plant in South Jersey will be sounding its alert sirens this evening and officials want residents to know it is not an emergency.

PSEG Nuclear is just testing its sirens at 7:20 p.m.

The sirens are in a 10-mile radius of the three nuclear reactors on artificial island in Lower Alloways Creek Township.

Thirty-four sirens are in New Jersey and 37 sirens are located in Delaware.
