Positively Philadelphia: Philly For Tourists

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - When you plan a trip, most people go to the internet to check out what a city offers. Well, the people who visit Philadelphia do the same thing. What do they want to know?

"What are the best things to do with kids? What are the most booked Philadelphia restaurants?" poses Meryl Levitz, CEO and President of Visit Philly. "What are the special events and festivals?"

So, we have the Liberty Bell, the Barnes, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Reading Terminal, and much more.

But we also have...

"The number one search, which got 730,000 page views, was, 'We want to see the list of the top 10 places to get an authentic cheesesteak in Philadelphia,'" said Levitz.

(Are you kidding?)

"No, I am not. Others have tried to make them, in other cities, but they are not the same. It has to be in Philly! Cheesesteaks and Philadelphia will be forever linked in the hearts, minds, and stomachs of the visiting public," Levitz said.

(and for those who live here!)
