NJSP Help Keep Children Warm With Hundreds of Coats
PHILADELPHIA (CBS)—For the past 15 years New Jersey State Police Captain Carla Thomas has been keeping kids warm across the Garden State.
As the temperatures drop to dangerous levels, not everyone, including Thomas had jackets to keep warm.
But since those frigid times during her childhood, Captain Thomas as aimed to keep children warm through her statewide coat drive initiative.
The New Jersey State Police says this year Thomas and her colleagues were able to deliver 400 coats to children in need.
To date, they have delivered more than 14,000 coats across New Jersey.
Great work Captain!
