Police: Abington Man Had More Than 130 Images Of Young Girls Engaged In Sex Acts On Phone, Computer

ABINGTON, Pa. (CBS) -- An Abington man is behind bars after authorities say they found more than 130 images of young girls engaged in sex acts on his cellphone and computer.

The Montgomery County District Attorney's Office said in a statement that Abington Township Police arrested 29-year-old Daniel Flannery and charged him with more than 100 felony counts involving internet child pornography.

The statement says Flannery was apprehended after an Abington Township detective investigated a tip that came through the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. An online chat service "Chatstep" contacted the center on June 3 regarding an image of child porn that was uploaded by a user of its service.

Authorities say the investigation revealed that the image came from a computer at the defendant's home. Authorities say they found more than 130 images of young girls engaged in sexual acts or poses on Flannery's computer and cellphone.

Flannery is being held at Montgomery County Correctional Facility and his bail has been set at $50,000.
