'Bad Reports' On Nerlens Noel May Lead To Limited Return For 76ers

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- As Nerlens Noel continues to inch closer to returning to the Sixers' lineup, the "big man" problem becomes more and more evident.

With Noel, Joel Embiid, and Jahlil Okafor, Brett Brown will have his hands full trying to fit them all on the court in one game.

According to The Vertical's Adrian Wojnarowski, who thinks the Sixers will eventually trade Noel, Philadelphia may not get the return they hoped for.

"The research teams have done on him is not good," Wojnarowski said on his podcast. "They don't get good reports back on their intel, how he's carried himself there, of his habits. It's not a great return. There are teams willing to do a deal for him and bring him in, but they don't want to give up much. And so at some point there, Philly has got to make a decision, 'What's the best we can get for him?' I think at some point he probably moves, too."

Noel, 22, averages 10.5 points and 8.1 rebounds per game in 143 games played. He also averages over 1.5 steals and blocks per game.

Woj mentions the Phoenix Suns as an interesting team with potential trade chips, specifically 25-year-old guard Brandon Knight.

Knight is averaging 12.9 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 2.8 assists playing just 24.3 minutes per night off the bench for the Suns this season. Knight is a career 35.8-percent shooter from three-point range.
