Police: Delaware Woman Arrested In Hit-And-Run That Injured 12-Year-Old Boy

NEW CASTLE, Del. (CBS) -- New Castle County Police have made an arrest in a hit-and-run that injured a 12-year-old boy.

Police say 55-year-old Marsha Williams turned herself in Tuesday evening.

Police say Williams struck the young boy with her vehicle on Memorial Drive in Overview Gardens on Dec. 5.

Detectives were able to locate the vehicle and determined Williams was behind the wheel at the time of the incident.

The boy suffered multiple broken bones in the hit-and-run.

Williams has been charged with leaving the scene of a collision resulting in injury and failure to report a collision resulting in injury.

Williams was arraigned and released on her own recognizance.
