Topps Selling Baseball Card Collection For Over $20,000

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Have an extra 20-grand lying around?

Topps released its 2016 Transcendent Collection on Friday for a whopping $22,000.

Topps released only 65 cases of the collection to commemorate the 65th anniversary of the company's existence.

Why does it cost so much? Well it's because one case consists of 50-gold framed autograph cards, with at least one guaranteed autograph card from each of the 39 active signers, which includes Hank Aaron, Sandy Koufax, Derek Jeter, Barry Bonds, Cal Ripken Jr., Vin Scully and many, many others.

One of those autographs will only be one-of-one.

The case also features: one oversized cut signature autograph card which is one-of-one; a one-of-one autograph card of National League MVP Kris Bryant; an original one-of-one sketch card; a set of 50 base cards; a set of sketch card reproductions; three autograph redemption cards; and an invitation to hang out with Bryant at the Topps 65th Anniversary Celebration in Las Vegas.

Other potential autographs in the sets include Babe Ruth, Jackie Robinson, and the first president of the United States George Washington.

The cases are currently out of stock on the Topps website.
