N.J. Man Reunited With Lost Wedding Ring After 15 Years

PHILADELPHIA (CBS)—A New Jersey man has been reunited his wedding ring after losing it 15 years ago.

NJ.com reports the ring had fallen off David Penner's finger somewhere on Wyckoff's Tree Farm in White Township, New Jersey.

But on Monday, farmer John Wyckoff was able to give that ring back to Penner.

Wyckoff said he found the ring on the farm with a distinctive pattern, inscribed within, "To David. Love, Nancy" and a wedding date.

Soon after a reports of the ring discovery surfaced, Wyckoff says he was flooded with calls—ultimately connecting with Penner's family.

"I got probably about half a dozen emails of people trying to give me leads," Wyckoff said," he said. "One was right on."

Penner, 68, lost his wife of 42 years, back on September 30, 2016.

Penner tells the NJ.com that he was given the ring in 1974 and he feels a part of her is back in his life.
