Byron Maxwell Believes He's The NFL's Best Corner

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Confidence is something Byron Maxwell never had in Philadelphia.

But now the ex-Eagles cornerback has it, recording two interceptions in his last four games to go along with four forced fumbles. He is already tied for his career high in passes defended with three games remaining.

So when he was told about Patrick Peterson of the Cardinals being the NFL's best corner, Maxwell responded confidently.

"Man, listen, if he wants to say that, he can say that," Maxwell said via NFL.com. "I'm pretty sure he believes that. Just like I believe I'm the best. Nothing against him, he is a great cornerback. The answer depends on who you ask."

At 7-5, the Dolphins find themselves one game behind the Denver Broncos for the final AFC Wild Card slot. Maxwell has been a big reason why.
