Hearing On PA Election Challenge Scheduled For Monday

HARRISBURG (CBS) -- Commonwealth Court has scheduled Monday as the day for a hearing on the Green Party's challenge to Pennsylvania's presidential election results.

In her effort to get a statewide recount of Pennsylvania's presidential election votes, Green Party candidate Jill Stein filed an Election Contest Petition in Commonwealth Court Monday, and Tuesday the court set December 5th as the date for a hearing on the petition.

Applications to intervene must be filed by Friday. Appearing Tuesday morning on Pittsburgh sister station KDKA, Democratic Governor Tom Wolf said there is no evidence of hijinks in Pennsylvania's election…

"We don't have any reason to believe that there was fraud," he said. "I think the Clinton campaign has also said they have not seen any fraud, but they are standing with the suit. But we just don't see any evidence of that."

Commonwealth Court has indicated it will make a decision by December 13th. The Green Party is also undertaking efforts to trigger recounts in some Pennsylvania counties through a different process.
