What Are Philly Residents Most Thankful For?

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- CBS3's Trang Do set out to ask people in Philadelphia what they are thankful for this Thanksgiving. Here's what they had to say:

"Just thankful to have such a healthy family," said Kristen Davidse, who was walking through Dilworth Park with her two children. "It's been a great year. We feel really lucky. We just had our daughter a few months ago."

"I am thankful for moving to Philadelphia," said Kelley Yemen, who recently moved from Minneapolis, MN. "I just moved here two and a half weeks ago and I'm really happy to be here!"

"I'm happy for my sobriety," said Matthew MacLaughlin of Malvern. "I've got nine months clean and I'm in a peer leadership program and I'm happy for my family sticking by me through thick and thin."

Tyler Williams of South Philadelphia had to translate her son Cole's answer for us.

"Thanksgiving is about being thankful for family and the Batmobile because it has a remote control," she said with a laugh.

"Life in general," said Jenny Rogers-Taylor of Darby. "I have a job. I have a roof over my head. I have food to eat. I'm not outside in the cold."

"I'm very thankful to live in this city. I'm thankful for my wonderful boyfriend. I'm basically thankful for my health and being happy right now," said Jake Verterano of Washington Square West.

"I'm thankful for a better economy, my job and I'm thankful that today I have to do some surveys and it's a nice day outside," said Jim Austin of Hammonton, NJ.

"It is my first international trip, so I am thankful that I got my second chance to come over here and explore people here, culture of U.S.," said Swati Singh, who is visiting from India. "It has been awesome so far."

"I'm thankful for my family, my friends and everyone who was there to support me," said Logan Liao of Wilmington, DE.
