Kellyanne Conway: Trump Not Looking To Pursue Investigation Of Clinton Once Taking Office

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Kellyanne Conway, Donald Trump's presidential campaign manager, revealed that the President-elect is not interested in pursuing the investigation into Hillary Clinton's use of a private email server during her time as Secretary of State any further.

Conway, in an interview with Dom Giordano on Talk Radio 1210 WPHT, said that Trump is interested in advancing his agenda, not focusing on his former political rival.

"He's looking forward, not backward. He thinks the Clintons have suffered enough and that, he, at this time, doesn't intend to move forward. That's his statement. It's also not his total decision, as you know. There are processes in place, others who run these committees, who run the DOJ or the FBI, they may think differently. But the point is, this comes directly from him."

She pointed out that Trump now has many more issues to confront after he takes the oath of office in January.

"This is a man who's know receiving a daily intelligence briefing. So he, and I'm not in those briefings, I wasn't elected to anything, but he is quickly realizing how fraught with danger the world is, all the things that he's inheriting and has to focus on. To hear him explain it yesterday, he says that he is focused on healthcare and immigration and creating jobs and making sure our education system provides more opportunities for all students, not just those who are confined by the zip code and told go here, even though it's a failing public school."

Conway specifically mentioned the Affordable Care Act as something the new Administration will attempt to replace as soon as they take over.

"There's talk of him calling a special session of Congress and dealing directly with Obamacare. We know that the Republican House and Republican Senate have previously voted, many times, to repeal Obamacare. Now they have a Republican President. Someone named Obama was never going to repeal Obamacare, so now they have a Republican President in Trump, they can make good. The House, the Senate, the President, and then he can start to put those processes in place where you get free market healthcare, patient centered healthcare."
