1 Dead After Car, SEPTA Bus Collide In Delaware County

TINICUM TOWNSHIP, Pa. (CBS) -- One person is dead after a car collided head on with a SEPTA bus in Delaware County.

It happened around 12:30 a.m. Saturday along Hog Island Road in Tinicum Township.

Officials say a Route 68 bus was on its way to pick up employees at a UPS facility at Philadelphia International Airport when the crash occurred.

The unidentified driver of the car was taken to a nearby hospital and pronounced dead a short time later.

The bus driver suffered a minor knee injury.

No passengers were on board the bus at the time of the crash.

The accident is under investigation.
