Graham On Pederson's Aggressiveness: 'I Trust Coach'

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- All of the sudden, Doug Pederson is feeling the pressure.

The first-year Eagles head coach passed up two field-goals on Sunday vs. the Giants, electing to go for it on fourth and short twice inside the red zone. The Eagles lost by five points.

Eagles safety Malcolm Jenkins questioned Pederson's aggressiveness after the game saying, "We're not going to win ballgames like this being overly aggressive offensively."

Defensive end Brandon Graham, who is having the best season of his career, disagrees with Jenkins.

"Coach's message in the locker room before [the game], was we're going to be aggressive," Graham told Angelo Cataldi and the 94WIP Morning Show on Wednesday. "We were gonna go out there and be aggressive because last game [against the Cowboys], if we was more aggressive we probably would have won that game.

"If anybody had something they wanted to talk to coach about, they should have said it then [before the game]. But, I really think that our team focus was going out there to be aggressive, which coach did and I'm cool with the results because I knew that was the game plan going out. And I trust coach and I know he's gonna be good."

Brandon Graham on the 94WIP Morning Show:

The Eagles have lost four of their last five games by a combined 19 points, falling to 4-4 and 0-3 against NFC East opponents. Graham, 28, says their goal of winning the division hasn't changed.

"It could still be done," Graham said of winning the NFC East. "It's all about our attitude. And I really think with these leaders on this team, we're definitely going to take it one week at a time, and pay attention to details, and work a little harder. Because we didn't spend this offseason just working too hard and not getting a chance to go up and get in those playoffs. I really believe that we are about to get it done and we are on our way. All I can say, is one week at a time. Just give us time, we've got eight weeks."
