SEPTA Offering Customers Vouchers For Unused TransPasses

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The clean up work continues for SEPTA as they resume normal operations following the end to the strike.

The transit agency announced they will be offering customers a credit voucher for unused Weekly or Monthly TransPasses. The vouchers will be good towards the purchase of another SEPTA fare product.

Customers can bring the unused TransPass to any Pass Sales location, SEPTA Sales Offices and Retail Outlets. Officials say the passes must be turned in in order to receive the credit.

SEPTA says requests for fare credits for TransPasses purchased at Pass Sales locations or through Employer Programs will be honored through January 31, 2017.

The transit agency provides a break down of the TransPass refund/exchange below:

  • Customers who turn in a Weekly TransPass valid for travel between October 31 -- November 6, 2016 will receive a $20 credit voucher. The credits will be available beginning Wednesday, Nov. 9.
  • Customers who turn in a Weekly TransPass valid for travel between November 7 -- November 13, 2016 will receive a $4 credit voucher. The credits will be available beginning Monday, Nov. 14.
  • Customers who turn in a Monthly TransPass valid for travel between November 1 -- November 30, 2016 will receive a $21 credit voucher. The credit will be available beginning Thursday, Dec. 1.
  • Customers who receive their TransPass products through ComPass, an Employer Program or Pre-
    Tax Benefit Program must submit their pass by mail to SEPTA SIP REFUNDS (1234 Market St. 9th Floor Phila, PA 19107) to receive a credit.
  • SEPTA Key Cards' customers with unsued Weekly or Monthly TransPasses, valid on dates listed above, must contact the SEPTA Key Customer Call Center at 855-567-3782 for more information on how to receive a credit for these fare products.
