SEPTA Strike Inspires Song That's Gone Viral

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Many commuters have taken to social media to express their frustration with the SEPTA strike  -- but one man to express his frustration in song. And now it's gone viral on Facebook.

SEPTA is on strike -- but according to one Philadelphia commuter it doesn't mean we can't "LYFT" it up.

Damian Huwett from Southwest Philadelphia remixed Ja Rule's 2001 hit song "Living it Up"

"I basically was just speaking about how I was going to get around," Huwett said. "I was like, 'if they go on strike I'm calling Lyft' because I don't live to far from my jobs."

Huwett posted the video before the strike was announced.

"I just tried to think about related things, like what would happen when the strike actually hits. You're not going to be able to use tokens and none of the stations will be open," he explained. "Whatever that was relevent that could rhyme together. I just freestyled and did it in 15 minutes."

SEPTA Strike Leads To Regional Rail Chaos

The video has more than 32,000 views has been shared over 2,000 times.

But Huwett hopes the SEPTA strike ends soon so he doesn't have to LYFT it up anymore.
