Philadelphia Police Investigating Officer-Involved Shooting

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Philadelphia police are investigating an officer-involved shooting in the city's Fairhill section.

Police say it happened around 10:20 p.m. Saturday at Front and Cambria Streets when two uniformed, officers on duty saw a man shooting at a guy who was running away. They stopped the cruiser, and the cop in the passenger seat got out and fired at the suspect, while the driver stayed put, shooting at him through the windshield.

The officers say when the suspect turned, they saw his gun's muzzle flash. The first cop fired again, and the suspect ran off.

He was caught by responding officers several blocks away. His intended victim identified the shooter as the man who'd robbed him at gunpoint. The 20-year-old victim says he handed over his wallet and cell phone, then took off as the 27-year-old suspect shot at him.

Miraculously, no one was hurt. The officers are on administrative duty while Internal Affairs investigates.
