Philadelphians Enjoy Warm Autumn Temps!

CENTER CITY (CBS) -- The calendar says we're deep into autumn, but the thermometer said something different on Tuesday. People took the day to enjoy the weather outside at Dilworth Park outside of City Hall.

A little "Indian Summer" and Center City dwellers were not letting the warm temps go to waste. Dilworth Park was crowded with sun seekers, getting out of their cubicles and dark offices and enjoying lunch outside.

"I love it like this," one sun seeker told KYW Newsradio. "This weather like we are right now, this today is beautiful, perfect..."

Another person described it as too nice to pass up.

"Usually we'd be home watching TV or something, 'cause it's too cold to be out here.'"

People said the weather was perfect for spending with others.

"It was a nice day, I"m coming to meet my wife, it was just a nice day. I wanted to enjoy the day out before I go to work."

Forecasters are calling for record challenging temperatures over the next few days, in what could be summer's last gasp.

Philadelphians are making the most of it before the weather gives way to winter's cold blast.
