Fisherman Pulls In Impressive 14-Pound Lobster After Hurricane Nicole

BERMUDA (CBS) — A giant-sized lobster was reeled in by a very surprised fisherman off the coast of Bermuda this past weekend in the wake of Hurricane Nicole.

Sanctuary Marine Bermuda, who runs diving tours and sport-fishing cruises, posted some impressive photos of the 14-pound lobster on their Facebook page. The animal looks colossal in the picture compared to Tristan Loescher, the man holding the catch.

Sanctuary Captain, Matthew Jones explained the lobster was caught accidentally on hook and line while a group was out night fishing off the shoreline for snapper. They pulled it in on land to get the hook out of its toe and untangle it from their fishing line before releasing it safe and sound.

Both the catch and subsequent release were caught on a GoPro.
