Arrest Made After Pee-Wee Football Field Vandalized In Camden

CAMDEN, NJ (CBS) -- Eyewitness News is told a suspect has been arrested for allegedly damaging a youth football field in Camden, New Jersey last week.

Efforts are underway to repair the field, but officials say probably won't be ready this season.

"I'm at a loss for words. This is a sad thing."

Twenty-eight-year-old Alexander Peters, of Gloucester City, has been arrested.

CBS3's Alexandria Hoff is told Peters was very emotional for the sadness he caused to the kids.

Football coach Rob Kelley said of the kids, "They were totally upset. One of them started crying and said 'what are we going to do? Are we done?' I said no. We're going to make it happen."
