Police: Women Assaulted 61-Year-Old, Stole 2 Laptops From His Home

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (CBS) -- Police are looking for a woman they say assaulted a man inside his home and then robbed him.

Twenty-six-year-old Mysha Hinton and 26-year-old Christine Burke are accused of assaulting a 61-year-old man in his home on the 600 block of North Kentucky Avenue. Hinton has been arrested but police say Burke is still at large.

According to officials, patrol officers responded to the victim's residence just before 8 a.m. Sunday for report of a robbery. Police say the victim was inside the home when he was assaulted by two female suspects. After they assaulted the man they fled the home in a vehicle, stealing two laptops and other items belonging to the victim.

An investigation led police to Hinton and Burke as suspects. The investigation revealed that Hinton had smashed her hand through a glass window. She sought medical attention at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center where she was arrested.

Officials say the stolen belongings were recovered and returned to the victim.

Hinton has been charged with robbery and conspiracy. She was remanded to the Atlantic County Justice Facility with her bail set at $100,000.

Burke is facing similar charges.

Anyone with information about Burke's whereabouts or more info about the incident is being asked to call the Atlantic City Police Department at 609-347-5766.
