Reading Terminal Market Celebrates Harvest Festival

CENTER CITY (CBS) -- Reading Terminal Market got into the fall spirit on Saturday with their annual harvest festival.

The people at Reading Terminal Market turned Filbert Street into a farm for their 16th annual Harvest Festival.

"A bunch of hayrides and some food sampling and arts and crafts and good wares and good food and we're having a good time," said co-organizer Vinnie Iovine.

She said this festival has evolved a lot over the years.

"It started out with just a few vendors, nothing too crazy; and we used to bring in piped-in music. Now, we have bands; all the vendors want to come out and join in. It's really just a good time."

Vinnie also drives a tractor around the block. They had free hayrides about ten times an hour.

"Surreal! I've been in fields in hayrides, but not in Center City. It was really unique," one man said after the ride.
