SUV Crashes Into Apartment Building In Northeast Philly; 2 Injured

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — Two people were injured overnight after an SUV crashed into an apartment building in Northeast Philadelphia.

It happened around 3 a.m. Saturday at the Ashley Court Apartments along the 10000 block of Bustleton Avenue in the city’s Somerton section.

“I heard this huge bang and looked up at my kids to check them and there was a car in the window,” one resident said. “and the window landed on my son. A lot of blood, and bricks everywhere. It was pretty scary.”

Two people were taken to the hospital with what authorities described as minor injuries.

The apartment building sustained only minor damage.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
