Bear Trapped, Subdued In DelCo Relocated To Dauphin County

RADNOR, Pa. (CBS) -- A black bear, who charged a motorcycle officer in suburban Philadelphia last month and caused two schools to go on lock down, has been trapped.

The bear was subdued in Ridley Creek Park.

After luring the bear with sweets like syrup and donuts, park officials subdued the bear and relocated him to state game lands. The bear was taken to Dauphin County.

He made news in September when he charged Radnor Police Lt. Christopher Flanagan.

The decision to remove the bear was done for the animal's own safety.
