Carson Puts Philly’s Wentz Street On The Map

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — A small street in Olney, bearing part of Quarterback Carson Wentz’s name, is being put on the map so to speak.

21-year-old Samuel Solana has lived on Wentz Street all his life. The entire street is just a little bit bigger than a football field.

Samuel is thrilled that the name of his favorite block is also the name of his favorite Eagles player.

“Oh my gosh, we have grown up here all our lives and now there is a player that is going to be our football savior,” he said.

“He has a great receiving squad right there, you know he is still young so they are going to mold right with him. He’s young and he has a couple of guys who are veterans. He is just going to mold into this great quarterback and we talk about that all the time.”

One resident says when they say they live on Wentz street the response has gone from what?, or where to oh!

22-year-old Andy Kein has all sorts of eagles memorabilia and is starting to collect Carson Wentz items and invites the quarterback to stop by Wentz street anytime.

“We would have a big barbeque for him. We would throw him a big block party, anything he needs. We would have a giant pool right in the middle of the street, anything he wants.”
