NJ Police Use Humor To Help Find Robbery Suspect

ABSECON, N.J. (CBS) -- Police in New Jersey are using humor to help describe a robbery suspect, comparing the man's looks to something right out of a 1990s boy band.

Absecon Police posted three photos to Facebook, along with a detailed post about a suspect caught on surveillance camera taking items from a CVS without paying for them.

"This gentlemen with his frosted tips and ripped designer jeans suggests laid-off boy band member. Perhaps boy band groupie who lost his calling around the late 90's/early 2000's when these bands started their decline and stopped touring. Times were tough then. JT left *NSYNC in 2001 (one of our detectives is still getting over it). The Backstreet Boys took a break that same year. Unless you had the foresight to jump on that Jonas Brothers train you might have found yourself out of work."

The post explains they don't intend to judge the man, rather they're trying to get a profile on people.

They hope the suspect's hairstyle alone will help identify him. Anyone with information about the man in the photos or the incident is being asked to call police at 609-641-0667.
