NJ Town Paints Blue Line In Road To Show Support For Police
MANTUA, N.J. (CBS) -- A New Jersey town is showing their support for police in a unique way by painting a blue line on a stretch of road.
This afternoon, workers in Mantua Township worked to fill in the gap left by double yellow lines near the entrance of Chestnut Branch Park.
The Township says the gesture is meant to show support for the Mantua Township Police Department, as well as all Law Enforcement.
"Police officers all over the country are faced with constant adversity and threats," the township posted on their Facebook page. "We respect our police and have their backs. This is just one small token of our appreciation. May God bless and keep our police safe!"
