Police ID Victim, Name Person Of Interest In Yeadon Homicide

YEADON, Pa. (CBS) -- Police say a woman is dead after she suffered a severe laceration to her throat in Yeadon, Delaware County.

Authorities responded to the 600 block of Baily Road around 3:10 a.m. Thursday.

Police say a male had expected the female to arrive at his home around 11:30 p.m. When she didn't, he left the door open.

When he woke up around 3 a.m. he found her laying outside, police say. The male says he immediately called 911.

Police have identified the victim as Natasha Gibson.

Police tracked blood droplets throughout the borough, down Church Lane, across from the SEPTA Regional Rail line and into the Upper Darby jurisdiction.

From there, police say they proceeded eastbound on Baltimore Avenue from 61st to 58th and Cobbs Creek Parkway.

Authorities say they believe they retrieved the knife used in the crime in a sewer inlet at 61st and Baltimore.

Police have named 36-year-old Mark Epps as a person of interest.  Anyone with information on his whereabouts is urged contact authorities.

Police are reviewing several surveillance cameras in the area.
