Restrictions To Be Aware Of For North Wildwood's Irish Festival

NORTH WILDWOOD, N.J. (CBS) -- This weekend is the 2016 Irish Fall Festival in North Wildwood. The event is set to run from September 23 to September 25.

The North Wildwood Police Department stressed the following restrictions as beach-goers prepare to descend upon the shore town for a weekend of fun, activities that officials want to remain responsible and safe.

The phrase that officials are pushing: "If you see something, say something."

North Wildwood Police are asking the public to contact them at 609-522-2411 if they witness any suspicious activity during the festival. The festival will take place from Olde New Jersey Avenue from 2nd Avenue to Pine Avenue.

Police officers will also be stationed throughout the festival area.

The following restrictions will also be put into place for the event:

  • Backpacks and cooler will not be allowed in the festival area
  • Alcoholic beverages will not be allowed to be brought into the festival area
  • Open display of alcoholic beverages outside of the festival area is prohibited
  • Alcoholic beverages will not be allowed on the buses and trolleys that will be operating to and from the festival area
