Report: Lane Johnson Has Appeal Hearing Scheduled For October 4th

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Finally, Lane Johnson has been suspended according to multiple reports.

Eagles right-tackle Lane Johnson has reportedly scheduled an appeal hearing for October 4th, during the Eagles' bye week, as he hopes to avoid a potential 10-game suspension for violated the league's performance enhancing drug policy.

Johnson's suspension was first reported on August 9th.

Johnson, who has played very well in the Eagles' first two games, is eligible to play through the appeals process and is expected to start on Sunday vs. the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Eagles have a bye in Week 4.
