PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The holiday season means holiday hiring, and Amazon is letting you work from home.
The online retailer is hiring seasonal customer service associates to “think outside the box, solve problems, answer questions, and resolve concerns” presented by customers.
The position is only available in certain states, Pennsylvania included, and it pays $10 an hour.
Applicants must be able to work full-time and be flexible to take on weekend shifts and overtime.
Amazon says seasonal employees will be given opportunities for regular long-term employment.
The available positions will last for a minimum of six months, as the company deals with increasing demands for the upcoming holidays.
Due to this, Amazon says employees may be required to work for all or most of the holidays.
The application says it will also try to accommodate college students to work around busy school schedules.
