Continuing Corruption In PA Warrants Second Book

HARRISBURG (CBS) -- With Pennsylvania reeling from the criminal conviction of yet another high-ranking elected official, a veteran statehouse reporter has released a second book on the subject of political corruption in the Keystone State.

Brad Bumsted published "Keystone Corruption" in 2013. He said it's a sad statement that just three years later, he has enough material for a second book on the subject, called "Keystone Corruption Continues."

"It is. It's real statement that corruption is so pervasive in Pennsylvania that I would have to do a second volume."

Former Attorney General Kathleen Kane figures prominently in the book. Keystone Corruption Continues is available at bradbumsted.com. Bumsted has spent more than 30 years covering the Pennsylvania Capitol, many of them with the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.

In that capacity he has become one of the most widely-read political reporters in the state. But he stepped down from the Trib on Friday.
