High School Top 10: Prep Aiming At Being The Spoiler This Weekend

By Joseph Santoliquito

PHILADELPHIA, PA (CBS) — It's rare that St. Joseph's Prep plays the role of underdog. But ever since Gabe Infante took over the program and led the Hawks to two-straight PIAA 4A state championships, the one stumbling block Prep has had in recent years is North Jersey superpower Don Bosco Prep.

On Saturday at Widener University at 7:30 p.m., the Hawks will get another shot at the Ironmen, who beat Prep last year 55-21. Bosco has a special motivation for this game of giants: Ironmen coach Greg Toal is going for his 300th career victory—a milestone the Hawks will do everything to prevent.

In 2014, Bosco beat Prep 35-7, and in 2013, the Ironmen rolled over the Hawks, 42-0.

This year, led by Georgia commit D'Andre Swift, who scored four times in the Hawks' 49-17 season-opening win over Oaks Christian (Mission Viejo, CA), Prep has a chance. Bosco is coming off a 21-0 loss to American Heritage (FL) last week.

The first eight minutes will be crucial for Prep, which averages over 300 pounds across its offensive line.
