Woman In Custody After Police Pursuit Ends In Port Richmond

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — Police say a pursuit began in Kensington on Thursday night and ended in Port Richmond with the woman driving the vehicle in custody. The incident took place around 9:15 p.m.

Police say the woman tried to hit a police officer. Authorities say the fleeing vehicle overturned.

The incident ended at the corner of Ann Street and Richmond Street in Port Richmond.

Authorities say that at some point during all of this, an officer did fire a weapon. Police say it is unclear if the woman in custody was struck.
