A Philadelphia Company Powers A Feature Shoppers Will Soon Love

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- How do you get 'the look' without the trek to the mall? Google has tapped a Philadelphia company to help you shop in a new way.

'Shop the Look' is Google's answer when you're in search of inspiration.

Luke Butler is with the visual marketing company, Curalate. He said they are looking to help people answer everyday questions.

"What should I wear to the prom? How should I decorate my patio? That kind of thing."

Butler said Google will present buying opportunities, a top-to-toe outfit; a professionally-prepped living space, as you browse, say, a lifestyle blog.

"That image will know each product that's within it," he said. "A person searching for ideas will be able to click on that image, which will bring up five or six different products where they can see them in real life..."

Curalate, based in Center City, is one of three companies powering Google's 'Shop the Look' beta test.
