Tim Kaine On Lead In Polls: 'You Are The Underdog Until You Are The Winner'

BETHLEHEM, Pa. (CBS) -- Democratic vice presidential nominee Senator Tim Kaine, continued his swing through Pennsylvania on Wednesday. He rallied with supporters in Bethlehem. Despite Hillary Clinton holding a lead over Donald Trump, Kaine shared his mantra for the election:

"You are the underdog until you are the winner," Kaine said.

About 200 supporters gathered at the Hanover Community Building in Northampton County. "I do think that Pennsylvania will be decided in this region really from Philadelphia to the Lehigh Valley," said Senator Bob Casey.

When the subject pushed to Trump, Kaine questioned his relationship with Russia and comment made appearing to urge hackers to probe Clinton's emails. "You know what he said when he got criticized for that? Hey, I was just kidding...That's a weird sense of humor folks."

He also criticize Trump keeping his tax records private.

Clinton supporter Bob Cohen said that as far as the election, he's feeling, "excited and scared." That's fine by Kaine who urged supporters to not take the lead in the polls for granted.

It is just under 10 weeks until election day and it will be non-stop until then. From Pennsylvania, Kaine heads to another battleground state, Florida on Thursday.
