Man Takes A Stand Against 'Premature Pumpkin Spicing'

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Does the heat have you feeling down? Are you ready for fall beers and pumpkin spice everything?

Well, this Philadelphian is taking a stand against those wishing summer away.

Billy Cress held a "Stop Premature Pumpkin Spicing" outside of the Wawa on South Broad Street.

He says in the photo's caption, "This is an issue no political candidate has been talking about this summer. That's why when @beansauer asked me to join the fight against this epidemic I was immediately on board. Join the movement #SPPS #PumpkinSpice"

Cress admits in the comments the sign was a joke, but the photo has since received over 2,500 likes.

For the record, fall doesn't begin until September 22.
