Fines Increasing For Delaware Drivers Who Text Behind The Wheel

WILMINGTON, Del. (CBS) -- Fines are set to double for Delaware drivers caught texting behind the wheel.

Gov. Jack Markell is set to sign the House Bill 302 today which increases penalties for drivers who use their cell phones while they are driving.

First-time offenders will face a $100 fine. Drivers who are caught a second time will have to pay more than $200 and get points on their license.
