Six-Year-Old Shot In Finger In Chester

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A six-year-old boy was shot in Chester, Delaware County on Monday afternoon.

Chester police were dispatched to the 1200 block of W. 9th Street around 4 p.m. Monday to find numerous shell casings in different locations.

The victim's mother told police her son and other children were playing in front of a house when a man began shooting in their direction.

The boy was taken to the hospital and is being treated for an injury to his left index finger.
