Soap Stars In Philly During Open Casting Call For The Young And The Restless
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Wanna be a soap star? Now's your chance. There is an open casting call in Philadelphia for the Young and the Restless and one person from the national search will be picked to appear in an episode.
Two of the show's stars will also be there to meet those who are auditioning.
"Everybody gets the script, take a look at it and then they do the audition," said Steve Burton who plays Dylan on the show with a tip for aspiring actors. "Just be real. I mean really that's what we do. We try to be real. Try to be believable."
Fans will also get a chance to meet Y&R icon Doug Davidson.
"We're here to promote our show and have a good time and meet and greet, said Davidson, who plays Paul on the show. "Even people that don't win will be able to take pictures and selfies and things like that."
Burton and Davidson say it's always a treat to spend time with the loyal fans who keep coming back to watch their show year after year.
