Phillies Place Aaron Nola On 60-Day Disabled List
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Aaron Nola's first full season with the Phillies has come to an early end. The promising young pitcher is headed to the 60-day disabled list.

The Phillies announced the move on Wednesday afternoon.
The team optioned Elvis Araujo to Triple-A Lehigh Valley and called up Frank Herrman. Nola is being transferred to the 60-day DL after being placed on the 15-day DL on August 3.
He was placed on the DL with a right elbow strain.
On the year, Nola, 23, is 6-9 with a 4.78 ERA in 20 starts. He has racked up 121 strikeouts.
