Bruce Springsteen Gives Fans Sneak Peak Of New Autobiography
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Bruce Springsteen is giving fans a sneak peak of his new autobiography, more than a month before the book is set to be released.
"The Boss" shared the foreword for "Born to Run" on his website.
"I come from a boardwalk town where almost everything is tinged with a bit of fraud. So am I. By twenty, no race-car-driving rebel, I was a guitar player on the streets of Asbury Park and already a member in good standing amongst those who "lie" in service of the truth . . . artists, with a small "a." But I held four clean aces."
He goes on to explain that the book will be about his early origins and the defining moments in his music career. A synopsis of the book on Amazon, where it is already available for pre-order, hints that the "Born to Run" song in and of itself reveals more about Springsteen than most realize.
"Born to Run" comes out September 27.
