Fans Attempt To Beat The Heat At Eagles Open Practice In South Philly

SOUTH PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Eagles held their final open practice of the season on Sunday. With the heat wave continuing, players and fans alike had to look for ways to stay cool.

The scorching heat, and the choking humidity did little to stop thousands of people from packing into the Linc to watch the Eagles practice.

"Just drinking a lot of water and trying to find seats in the shade," one Eagles fan told KYW Newsradio.

Another fan said it about finding the cold items around the arena.

"Taking pit stops at the fans, drinking lots of water, getting cold treats and all that."

Misting fans proved to be one of the more popular attractions.

"I'm very fortunate to run into some new technology, these fans are amazing," one very grateful Eagles fan said.

Eagles defensive end Brandon Graham looks at the heat as just another opponent, and one that he can beat.

"The heat didn't influence nothing because we gonna go to Florida sometimes and it's way hotter than what we have right now," he said.
