Plane From Philadelphia Evacuated At Indianapolis International Airport

By Mark Abrams

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- No one was hurt when smoke began pouring from the brakes on an American Eagle flight from Philadelphia to Indianapolis International Airport upon landing Tuesday just after 6 p.m.

Airport officials say the American Airlines jet was carrying 32 people.

They were safely evacuated from the plane as fire crews poured water on the brakes to prevent a fire.

The passengers and crew were taken to the terminal by bus.

Airline officials are inspecting the plane to determine what caused the issue.
