19-Year-Old Charged In The Shooting Death Of Mother And Her Boyfriend
AMBLER, Pa. (CBS) -- Authorities announced the arrest of a 19-year-old man in connection with the death of his mother and her boyfriend. The alleged incident took place in Ambler.
Officials announced the arrest of Joshua Trunk on Wednesday and that he has been charged with first-degree murder, and related charges in the shooting death of his mother Janice Trunk and her boyfriend Kevin Milton Smith.
The shooting took place on July 31. A call came in to police around 11:15 p.m. when officers responded to reported gunshots at the Forest Garden Apartments.
Authorities say the pair were found shot to death in bed.
Officials say that Joshua Trunk was taken into custody on the night of the incident on drug charges and has been in custody since. Bail was denied and Trunk will have a preliminary hearing, scheduled for September 15.
